Different features will work differently, depending on the use case. Here is a brief summary of three features that are coming soon and how they will work:

• Co-authored runbook automation (job) creation. PagerDuty has curated a set of common use cases in the form of suggested prompts for generating jobs. Users can modify the suggested prompt for their specific use case, or they can input free text and generate an automated runbook for review and edits before making it available for use. This will be offered only as part of our SaaS (vs self-managed) Process Automation products.
• AI-generated status updates can be used to create a draft update based on incident details up to that point in conversation data (from Slack, etc.) that users have opted-in to share; users can choose to use a draft update as-is, or further edit and modify it as required.
• AI-generated postmortems can be used to generate a draft postmortem based on the incident details; users can choose to use a draft postmortem as-s, or further edit and modify it as required.

PagerDuty follows our published guidelines for the safe and secure use of Generative AI. This is part of our broader Security and Privacy by Design discipline and includes protection of customer data in transit and at rest, and controls on who and how we process customer data. We will offer customer choice in the use of Generative AI features, including whether customer data is or may be used for training purposes. Currently no customer data is used for training purposes.

Different Generative AI features may be priced in different ways, which will be determined by general availability (GA). New Generative AI capabilities will be at no additional cost during preview and early access (EA).
